2023 PBR All-American Game, Spotlight: Jordan Martin

On Saturday, Sept. 23, Prep Baseball Report is hosting its inaugural High School All-American Game at American Family Field, home of the Milwaukee Brewers. The unique event will feature the nation’s top high school seniors who are set to battle against a roster of the country’s best juniors in Class of 2024 vs. Class of 2025 action, giving pro scouts a unique look at current and future draft classes.

We’ve begun to unveil the event’s participants on our social media channels, and we’ll spotlight those players more closely on our site, too, highlighting past performances and scouting reports from the live looks we’ve gathered on this gifted group throughout the years.

We're highlighting Jordan Martin, an Arkansas commit who is the top prospect in Missouri's 2025 class and one of the premier arms in the country. Martin is no stranger to the PBR staff, as he represented the 'Show Me' state in both the Junior Future Games and Future Games in consecutive summers. He continued to solidify himself as a premium prospect throughout the summer, both on the PBRT circuit and at other national events. Next, he's heading to Milwaukee to take part in the inaugural PBR All-American Game. 

PBR's VP of Scouting Shooter Hunt had this to say regarding Martin's performance at Area Codes earlier this month: "The ease of operation that allows Martin to effortlessly (and efficiently) pour out 88-91 from a smooth delivery leaves plenty to get excited about when dreaming about the potential that he exhibits on the mound. Steady in each look of a long summer, the 6-foot-5, 205-pound pristinely-built right-hander flashed his usual upside slider at 75-76 with a developing changeup. The frame and athleticism stand out above all else, and while the arm-talent and polished delivery/clean arm are enticing from a pitching standpoint, this final look of the summer reaffirmed the question that scouts are going to have to follow over the next two years: could the Arkansas recruit actually be an impact bat instead of arm? The right-handed hitting outfielder went 2-for-5 in a limited look as he showcased quick hands with the ability to turn the barrel with significant power potential. Uber-athletic with real Power 5 basketball offers, Martin’s position player intrigue has a chance to bubble over in the next 12-18 months, even while he continues to showcase as one of the top arms in the class."
