March 17 Daily Game Roundup



In an early season upset, No. 2 ranked team in Missouri, Vianney, was upended 6 to 5 at the hands on Lindbergh at the Lindbergh-Mehlville Tournament. The tournament continues Monday, click here for game times and locations.

Neosho HS traveled to Oklahoma and defeated Dewey (OK), 8-0. Sophomore Trey Turner led Neosho on offense and at the plate, going 6 innings allowing two hits and striking out ten. He also went two-for-four with a double.

Webb City beat up on Logan-Rogersville by a score of 12-2. Senior Richie Peoples led the Webb City Cardinal attack, going two for three with three RBIs. Leadoff batter Klay James sent the tone for the game, going three for three and crossing the plate four times. Breckin Williams (No. 10 ranked player in the Class of 2012) went five innings on the mound, allowing one hit and striking out nine.

Branson defeated Carl Junction 4-2. Sam Perez picked up the win for the Pirates, going 6 2/3 innings of shut out ball striking out eight.

Purdy got by McDonald Coounty 5 to 4. Reese Stevenson picked up the win and contributed at the plate 2 hits. Cody Hall also had a single and double with one RBI and one run scored and Devon Bennett drove in two runs. 

In quarterfinal action in the Troy Tournament, CBC defeated Holt 4-2.

-Seckman held off DeSmet 8-6 behind the offensive output of Collin Edwards and Colby Holloway combining for five RBIs. Starting pitcher Tyler McCorkle picked up the win for Seckman

-Duchesne shut out Ft. Zumwalt North 10-0

-Francis Howell North slugged their way to a 13-2 win over host Troy

-Ft. Zumwalt South defeated Windsor 8 to 5

-Timberland defeated Zt. Zumwalt East 7-2.
