Prep Baseball Report Missouri held the Prodigy Scout Day Scout Day on February 23 at the Prodigy Baseball Facility in Parkville, Missouri. Nearly forty players participated in the 2022 to 2018 classes.

Player profiles have been updated with running times and velocities along with a video of their performance. 

Players can now updated their profiles with a 
ProspectPlus subscription, while scouts and recruiters can add players on ScoutPlus.

Here is a closer look at the infielders from the event, listed in alphabetical order.

Infielders

Zach Buschschulte SS / 2B / Staley, MO / 2021

Buschschulte is a 5-foot-9, 150-pound, right-handed hitting middle infielder in Missouri’s 2021 class. He ran a 4.89 home-to-first and posted an exit velocity of 89 mph. During batting practice, Buschschulte starts in a slight open and athletic stance, shows rhythm with hands, controls the barrel, quiet load, strides across body, quick hands, uphill with swing, showed contact to pull side and middle during round. Defensively, attacks the baseball, quick transfer to release, moves well side-to-side, clean arm action, three-quarter release, positional velo of 70 mph.

Parker Campbell 1B / OF / Liberty, MO / 2021

Campbell is an athletic 5-foot-8, 155-pound, corner infielder in Missouri’s 2021 class. He ran a 4.57 home-to-first and posted an exit velocity of 75 mph. During batting practice, Campbell starts narrow, reverse toe-tap to load, rhythm with hands, quick bat, feel for the barrel, minimal head movement, repeats swing, mostly pull side contact and looked to elevate during round. Defensively, moves well side-to-side, fluid footwork, clean arm action, high-three quarter release, positional velo of 69 mph, accurate throws.

Patrick Compton C / 3B / Oak Park, MO / 2020

Compton is a 5-foot-11, 175-pound, right-handed hitting third baseman in Missouri’s 2020 class. He ran a 5.10 home-to-first and posted an exit velocity of 87 mph. During hitting evaluations, balanced set up, minimal load, some rhythm with hands, slightly closed off with stride, high finish with hands, mostly pull side contact during round. On the infield, Compton shows athleticism, moves well laterally, aggressive to the baseball, clean transfer, over the top release, quick arm action, positional velocity of 77 mph, accurate throws. 

Harrison Day 3B / RHP / Liberty, MO / 2021

Day is a strong and athletic 6-foot-1, 170-pound, right-handed hitting corner infielder in Missouri’s 2021 class. He ran a 4.86 home-to-first and posted an exit velocity of 88 mph. During batting practice, Day starts with an open stance, uses an exaggerated leg kick to get to his load position, across the body stride, loose hands, gets his entire body into the swing, ball jumps of bat during round. Defensively, Day shows athleticism, fluid footwork, quick transfer to release, high three-quarter slot, positional velo of 88 mph, accurate throws.

Jack Flournoy 2B / SS / Liberty, MO / 2021

Flournoy is a 5-foot-7, 140-pound, right-handed hitting middle infielder in Missouri’s 2021 class. He ran a 4.71 home-to-first and posted an exit velocity of 87 mph. During batting practice, Flournoy has a balanced and athletic setup, smaller leg lift, quiet hands, in line stride, aggressive swing, produced hard contact during round. Defensively, moves well laterally, fluid footwork, quick transfer to release, short arm action, high three-quarter release, momentum towards target, positional velo of 66 mph, accurate throws.

Alex Foster RHP / 1B / Park Hill South, MO / 2021

Foster is a big bodied 5-foot-10, 210-pound, right-handed hitting corner infielder in Missouri’s 2021 class. He ran a 4.82 home-to-first and posted an exit velocity of 88 mph. During batting practice, Foster starts open, quick knee pinch into load, in line stride, quick hands, feel for the barrel, showed hard contact to his pull side with some pop. Defensively, quick to the baseball, clean transfers, arm works, low three-quarter slot, positional velo of 72 mph, accurate throws.

Jehr Fowler 3B / OF / Staley, MO / 2021

Fowler is a 5-foot-10, 170-pound, right-handed hitting corner infield prospect in Missouri’s 2021 class. He ran a 5.07 home-to-first and posted an exit velocity of 87 mph. During batting practice, simple load, quiet hands, in line stride, remains balanced throughout, showed mostly pull side contact during round. On the infield, Fowler shows fluid actions, quality footwork, soft hands, clean transfers and arm action, three-quarter release, positional velo of 69 mph and accurate throws.

Eddie Freidel 2B / RHP / Liberty, MO / 2021

Freidel is a 5-foot-7, 130-pound, right-handed hitting middle infielder in Missouri’s 2021 class. He ran a 4.95 home-to-first and posted an exit velocity of 76 mph. During batting practice, athletic stance, leg lift, rhythm with hands, level bat path, compact and repeatable swing. Defensively, Freidel shows quick actions, fluid footwork, quick transfer to release, low three-quarter release, positional velo of 70 mph, accurate throws

Kaleb Harbrucker SS / RHP / Oak Park, MO / 2020

Harbrucker is a 6-foot, 154-pound, right-handed hitting middle infielder in Missouri’s 2020 class. He ran a 5.03 home-to-first and posted an exit velocity of 82 mph. During batting practice, Harbrucker starts in an upright stance, minimal load, quiet hands, in line stride, level bat path, minimal head movement, showed contact in the middle of the cage during round. Defensively, aggressive to the baseball, clean transfers, short arm action, high three-quarter release, positional velo of 66 mph, mostly accurate throws

Logan Helman C / 1B / Platte County, MO / 2020

Helman is a big bodied 6-foot-1, 215-pound, right-handed hitting first baseman in Missouri’s 2020 class. He ran a 4.81 home-to-first and posted an exit velocity of 82 mph. During hitting evaluations, Helman has a simple load with minimal movement, in line stride, balanced swing, level bat path. On the infield, aggressive to the ball, clean transfers, high three quarters release, positional velocity of 64 mph, accurate throws.

Carson Hornung SS / 3B / Blue Valley Southwest, KS / 2021

Hornung is a 6-foot-2 180-pound left-handed hitting shortstop in Kansas' 2021 class.  He ran a 4.50 home to first and has an 86 mph exit velocity. At the plate, starts slightly loaded on back side, smooth load with weight shift, minimal hand movement, in line stride, slight lift to bat path, middle and pull side contact.  On the infield, high three quarters arm slot, gains ground after catch, collects momentum with shuffle, fluid transfer on time with footwork, 83 mph positional velocity.

Joshua Lowe OF / SS / Park Hill South, MO / 2021

Lowe is a 5-foot-10, 145-pound, right-handed hitting shortstop in Missouri’s 2021 class. He ran a 4.34 home-to-first and posted an exit velocity of 77 mph. During batting practice, Lowe starts in an athletic stance, minimal movement with load, some rhythm with hands, in line stride, remains balanced throughout swing, showed mostly pull contact during round. On the infield, moves well laterally, clean transfers, three-quarters release, positional velocity of 76 mph, mostly accurate throws. 

Mitchell Magel 1B / RHP / Liberty high school, MO / 2021

Magel is a 6-foot-2 180-pound right-handed hitting first baseman in Missouri's 2021 class. He ran a 4.76 home to first and has an 85 mph exit velocity. At the plate, open stance, pre-pitch rhythm in hands, in line stride, quick bat speed, stays in lower half, flashes pull side power, middle to pull side contact.  On the infield, reverse pivot throw to second base, short high three quarters arm slot, clean transfer, smooth footwork, 77  mph positional velocity.

Deepesh Nath 1B / OF / Park Hill South , MO / 2020

Nath is a 6-foot-2 175-pound left-handed hitting first baseman in Missouri's 2020 class.  He ran a 5.03 home to first and has a 76 mph exit velocity. At the plate, open stance, loads with leg lift, aggressive swing, middle to pull side contact, occasional power to right.  On the infield, quick the ball with footwork, high three quarters arm slot, fluid transfer on time with footwork, 72 mph positional velocity.

Dylan Owens SS / 3B / Park Hill South, MO / 2020

Owens is a 5-foot-7 160-pound right-handed hitting shortstop in Missouri's 2020 class.  He ran a 4.73 home to first and has an 89 mph exit velocity. At the plate, starts in wide base slightly open, short and early stride, hands separate from stride, stays under control, level swing plane, gap to gap approach.  On the infield, three quarters arm slot, fields ball in athletic position, fluid transfer on time with footwork, smooth actions, 76 mph positional velocity.

Grant Rhodes SS / OF / Park Hill South, MO / 2021

Rhodes is a long and lean 6-foot, 150-pound, left-handed hitting middle infielder in Missouri’s 2021 class. He ran 4.53 home-to-first and posted an exit velocity of 87 mph. During batting practice, Rhodes uses a weight shift to get into his load position, loose hands, in line stride, leverages up front side, generates whip with the barrel, minimal head movement, produced hard contact during round. On the infield, moves well laterally, momentum towards target, fluid actions, high three quarters release, positional velocity of 77 mph.

Matt Riekhof SS / 3B / Park Hill South, MO / 2021

Riekhof is a lean 6-foot 145-pound right-handed hitting shortstop in Missouri's 2021 class.  He ran a 4.72 home to first and has a 90 mph exit velocity. At the plate, open stance, controlled leg lift, lands slightly open, level path through the hitting zone, gap to gap approach.  On the infield, short high three quarters arm slot, quick catch and throw, fluid footwork with clean exchange, 72 mph positional velocity.

Alex Schmitz RHP / 3B / Park Hill South, MO / 2020

Schmitz is a 6-foot-1, 205-pound, left-handed hitting third baseman  in Missouri’s 2020 class. He ran a 4.77 home-to-first and posted an exit velocity of 81 mph. During batting practice, starts upright, high set up with hands, quiet load, in line stride, leverages up front side, high finish with hands, produced hard contact during round. On the infield, fluid footwork, momentum towards the target, soft hands, clean transfers, over the top release, positional velo of 75 mph, accurate throws. 

Aiden Watson 1B / C / Liberty , MO / 2021

Watson is a 5-foot-10 200-pound left-handed hitting first baseman in Missouri's 2021 class.  He ran a 4.63 home to first and has a 79 mph exit velocity. At the plate, starts slightly open, smooth load to back side, quiet hands, short stride, accelerated hands, level path, gap to gap line drives during hitting evals.  On the infield, smooth footwork with clean transfer, short high three quarters arm slot, quick catch and throw with accurate throws, 65 mph positional velocity.
