Gulfport, MS – The Gulfport Admirals played host to the Pearl River Central Blue Devils in an 11 am non-conference bout on Saturday. Gulfport scored early and often, claiming an 11-1 victory over Pearl River Central.

The Blue Devils of Pearl River Central gave the ball to 2019 RHP Robert Shoemake and he allowed eight runs on six hits while striking out three.

2019 RHP/3B Beckett White had a solid day both at the plate and on the mound for Gulfport. The right-hander allowed two hits and one run over five innings of work, while striking out seven and walking one pitching 80-85 mph with his fastball. White would also go 2-for-3 at the plate with a home run and three runs batted in.

Pearl River Central would strike first with a run in the top of the second, but scoring three runs in the bottom half and three in the third would prove to be too much to overcome as the Admirals continued their strong offensive showing posting a total of eleven runs. Leading the way for Gulfport was Mason Campbell and Beckett White who both had multiple hits on the day. Tulane signee, 2018 C Blake Johnson also had a quality day displaying a power right-handed stroke as well as controlling the running game from behind the plate.
