Stock Watch: Unsigned 2020

Today, Prep Baseball Report Mississippi takes a look at three 2020’s that have had solid spring and summer campaigns, improving their recruiting stock. Throughout the year Prep Baseball Report has been on the road scouting select ball tournaments, college showcases, in addition to its own summer events.

While there has been a few top prospects in the 2020 class to commit, there are still several impressive players who will make an impact on the next level. These underclassman have showcased their talents over the course of the spring and summer, on a national and state level, showing their ability to be quality players on the next level.

Let’s dive into the three unsigned 2020’s:

Brady Spring, 3B, Brookhaven Academy, 2020
Athletic 6-foot, 170-pound frame, with room for continued growth. Defensively moved well laterally with fluid footwork, soft hands and quick, clean exchanges with a 3/4 release and accuracy on throws. Right-handed hitter with simple leg kick, short stride balanced throughout and developing lower half.

Cade Crosby, 2B, Long Beach, 2020
Athletic 5-foot-11, 175-pound frame, with room for continued physical development. Second baseman with smooth footwork, soft hands, clean exchanges and accuracy on throws. Left-handed hitting with line-drive power, middle of the field approach with slight uphill path and leverage throughout.

Christopher Snopek, SS, Madison-Ridgeland Academy, 2020
Lean, athletic 6-foot, 160-pound frame, with room for added strength. Defensively displayed fluid footwork through the ball with active feet after the catch. Average hands and clean exchange into a long, high-¾ arm stroke. Arm works well with accuracy and carry. Right-handed hitter with fluid rhythm, simple weight shift load, short level path and developing strength.
