PBR of North Carolina was hand at East Rowan on Tuesday night March the 7th as the #17 ranked Mustangs hosted the North Davidson Knights. East Rowan scored 6 runs in the 1st inning and cruised to a 17-0 win in 5 innings.

NC State recruit. 6-foot-6, 190-pound athletic frame with projection ahead. Loose arm with easy effort to the delivery. Fastball reached 93 mph a few times in the 1st inning, working mostly at 90-92 mph. Touched 93 mph again in the 2nd inning, fastball ranged from 88-92 mph (1800-2200 spin) working mostly at 90-91 mph throughout his 4 innings of work. Fastball has run to his arm side. Consistently got the fastball to his glove side staying mostly at the bottom of the zone, flashed some feel for his arm side as well.  Breaking ranged from 74-79 mph (2100-2398 spin) working mostly at 75-77 mph. Breaking ball is sharp with late action darting down and away from right hand hitters. Got swing and miss with it and showed the ability to land it for strikes at times throughout the night. Mixed in an occasional changeup to left hand hitters at 80-83 mph (1600-1800 spin). Changeup has arm side run and sink, kept it down but usually missed outside the zone to his arm side. Worked 4 innings, allowing 1 hit with 6 punch outs and no walks. He continues to show the ability to spin the baseball and there is a lot to like about his upside.
