Throughout the fall season, PBR scouts were covering the state of North Carolina. Whether it was a PBR event, an official PBR scouted event, or an workout a PBR scout covered, player statistics were reported with player evaluations. Video was also added to player profiles from PBR events. With over 800 colleges and universities subscribing to PBR, PBR is able to provide verified information, connecting schools and players from across North Carolina.
We continue our look back at the fall of 2018 with our arm grades. During the pro-style workout, PBR scouts work to collect arm grades , evaluating accuracy, carry, and taking a radar reading on players from their defensive workout. Infielders will work out at shortstop with outfielders working out from right field. During the catchers workout, they will throw a series of stolen base attempts to 2B, as well as showing carry in block and recovery drills. While the radar readings do not tell the complete story, it does give a coach, or evaluator, a glimpse as to how the arm plays from the position.
