Central Piedmont 4A Conference Tournament Semi Final Games

Davie- 10 East Forsyth- 11
PBR of NC was on hand for the Central Piedmont 4A Conference Tournament Games on Tuesday May 3rd. The first game featured Davie against East Forsyth.
Davie got the scoring started in the top of the 1st when Davin Whitaker singled to left center scoring War Eagle leadoff hitter Coy James. East Forsyth would tie it at 1 but Davie would go in front again, scoring 3 runs in the top of the 3rd highlighted by a Drew Krause 2 RBI single. East Forsyth would quickly answer again, getting solo home runs from Xavier Isaac and Steele Lee. Davie would keep answering, taking a 6-3 lead in the top of the 4th with Coy James sparking the Davie offense. Once again East Forsyth had a quick answer tying the game on a double by Ethan Norby.
With the game tied at 6 in the bottom of the 6th East Forsyth took the lead for good. Hudson Morgan started the inning with a homerun to left field and the Eagle offense would add 4 more runs that inning taking an 11-6 lead. Davie kept fighting and got the score to 11-10 in the top of the 7th. With 2 outs and runners at 1st and 3rd East Forsyth pitcher Steele Lee would get a fly ball to center to end the hard fought contest. With the win East Forsyth advances to the championship game.

The second semi final game featured the West Forsyth Titans against the Reagan Raiders in front of a packed house and playoff atmosphere. The two teams split their regular season series and their 3rd meeting would not disappoint.
Austin Hawke got things rolling for the Raiders crushing a homerun to center on the first pitch he saw in the bottom of the first. The Titans broke through in the top of third scoring 2 runs on a Bryson Chandler hit to left. Reagan quickly tied it in the bottom half of the inning when Austin Hawk scored on a past ball. The score would remain tied at 2 until the 6th with both teams' starters, Payton Martin for West Forsyth and Aiden Cluskey for Reagan, competing and making big pitches.
In the bottom of the 6th Nick Lundquist barreled a ball to right center for a double and would later score on a Carter Boyd base hit giving Reagan a 3-2 lead. West Forsyth would answer right back and regain some momentum in the top of the 7th taking advantage of errors and tying the game at 3. Reagan would be retired in order in the bottom of the 7th and send the game to extras. In the 9th Reid Withers would reach on a hit by pitch with one out and score on a double to left by Patrick Showers giving the Titans a 4-3 lead. The Raiders would fight right back and load the bases with 1 out in the bottom of the 9th but Titan Reliever Harrison Lewis would get back to back punchouts to end the game and send West Forsyth to the championship for another matchup with East Forsyth.
