Commitment Tracker: 5 More Pledge; Inside the Campbell 2019 Class

Brandon Hall
North Carolina Director of Scouting

The North Carolina Commitment Tracker will be a weekly blog to track players and programs through the recruiting process.  Each week we will look players that have pledged their commitment with back ground on select players and their process.  We will also look total commitment numbers across the state and profile select schools as they work to complete their 2019 class.

The past week in North Carolina has seen a hurricane bring flooding conditions to the eastern side of the state.  While many families and cities are still in recovery mode, we have also seen the good of the state shine through with a number of individuals, businesses, cities, and others work to provide help to those in need.

As the state prepared for, and weathered Florence, many schools and prospects saw visits cancelled.  This was a slow week for commitments as there were bigger things on the minds of many.  Several players did still pledge their commitment prior to the storm hitting, or as they cleared the heavy downfall of rain.

Alex Anderson (MIF, Richmond County HS, 2019) committed to Johns Hopkins University.  Anderson is a quick twitch athlete that has seen his 60 time drop since the last time he ran in front of a PBR scout.  The speed tool may allow Anderson to compete for a spot on the field early in his career at Hopkins.
