Commitment Tracker

While a lot of the national news cycle across the country may be following football recruiting this week, the state of North Carolina saw eighteen more players commit to the school of their choice for baseball.  All eighteen commitments this week are from the 2019 class.

Ashley HS in Wilmington, NC saw three players commit, each to Brunswick CC where they will continue to play together in the coming two years.  Rocco Farmintino (SS, Ashley HS, 2019) has good feel for the barrel at the plate.  He has run a 7.25 sixty for PBR scouts and plays with good energy.  Also committing this week from Ashely are RHP/1B Tyler McNeill and catcher Ashton Evans.

Two from Providence HS made their declarations as well.  OF Patrick Bloomingburg (2019) will play both baseball and football at Gardner-Webb.  Bloomingburg’s teammate LHP/OF Sam Kagan (2019) will take his talents to Boca Raton and play at Lynn University.  Kagan is an intriguing athlete that is still developing.  On the mound PBR has seen him up to 81 with some deception.  In the box, the left handed hitter has rhythm and a line drive approach with an exit velocity peaking at 87 mph.
