Elite South ID: Quick Hitters

PBR of North Carolina hosted the Elite South ID on Friday September 16th at the Tuckaseegee Field of Dreams in Charlotte, NC. The event gave players an opportunity to update their stats and video prior to the Elite South Showcase Tournament over the weekend. The ID featured players from the 2023-2026 Classes.
The evening began with position players running a laser timed 60 followed by batting practice on the field with Trackman collecting data. After batting practice players went through a defensive evaluation. The night concluded with pitchers throwing a controlled bullpen with Trackman collecting advanced analytics.

Quick Hitters
5-foot-11, 155-pound frame. Balanced swing working through the middle of the field with a line drive approach. Some quickness to his hands with his barrel getting extension out front. Peak exit velocity at 78.1 mph with an average EV of 72.8 mph.
5-foot-10, 210-pound build. Worked mostly through the middle and to the opposite field during his BP rounds. Hands have some quickness and strength with his barrel staying inside the ball. Posted a peak exit velocity of 87.7 mph.
Athletic build at 6-foot-2, 185-pounds. Posted the top exit velocity at 94.9 mph with an average EV of 84.6 mph. Simple, balanced swing consistently hitting balls of the barrel in BP. Hands are quick with his barrel staying through the ball. Arm reached 86 mph from the outfield.
6-foot, 185-pound build with strength present. HIt several balls off the barrel working mostly to his pull side. Top exit velocity at 91.4 mph with an average EV of 86.8 mph. Hands have strength with a mostly flat barrel path through the zone. Are peaked at 74 mph from behind the plate.
5-foot-10, 140-pound frame with room for maturation ahead. Left hand hitter. Simple swing with a flat barrel path through the zone. Worked mostly through the middle and to the opposite field with a line drive approach. Top exit velocity recorded at 81.3 mph. Loose arm off the ball working at the bottom of the zone with feel for both sides of the pate. Fastball topped at 78.7 mph. Changeup tunnels with his fastball and has fading action. Stuff should tick up as the body matures.
5-foot-9, 140-pound frame. Balanced swing working through the middle of the field. Relaxed hands with quickness, barrel is flat through the zone getting extension out front. Peak exit velocity at 79.7 mph.
6-foot, 137-pound frame with room to add strength in the coming years. Left hand hitter. Loose, balanced swing with quickness to his hands. Hit several balls off the barrel working through the middle of the field. Barrel stays through the zone with his top exit velocity at 88.8 mph, average EV at 81.6 mph.
