Marvin Ridge took the rubber match in the series against Parkwood 6-2 thanks to great pitching and a pair of home runs.

Mavs' starter Drew Cognac (2019, Belmont Abbey commit) struck out 12 and allowed two runs over 6.2 innings while showing a good mix of pitches highlighted by his curveball. 

Five of Marvin Ridge's six runs came via the long ball from their corner infielders. Third baseman Steven Gonzalez (2019, uncommitted) hit a two-run blast in the third inning, and first baseman Andrew Kerry (2019, uncommitted) added a three-run shot in the fourth. Parkwood's Owen Harley (2019, Wingate commit) hit a two-run home run in the fourth inning.
