Green Hope hosted Fuquay-Varina in the 2nd round of the NCHSAA 4A State Tournament.  Fuquay prevailed 3-0 with a strong performance on the bump from SR RHP Kyle Mott.  Mott worked into the 7th, allowing 4 hits, while striking out 5.  Mott also recorded two hits, knocking in one and scoring one run himself.

Fuquay jumped on the board with a run in the 1st via a 2 out passed ball.  In the 3rd the Bengals plated two more runs, the second on a 2 out infield error.
