What Has To Happen to Advance
The bulldogs play in a deep conference that has them ready for a lot of challenges that they may see in the State Touranment. Already, through the 1st four rounds, they have found several different ways to win. As deep as the roster is for Terry Sanford, New Hanover can match the depth. The key for Terry Sanford will be their core guys have to be “Guys” throughout the week. If the box score is filled with the Jayne brothers and Ebert, while the pitching continues to be solid, the bulldogs may be in Raleigh next week.

What Has To Happen to Advance
After coming up short in 2017 in the 4A State Championship, there was on goal for the Wildcats in 2018 -- a return trip to Raleigh. This may be the deepest lineup in the state and they have a bonafide ace on the front end with Walston. This week will be about continuing to be themselves. Terry Sanford will create some discomfort and make the Wildcats compete through adversity. For the Wildcats to advance they will have to face the challenge head on and continue to execute in all three phases, as they have all year.
