Garner Magnet 1 #1 Wake Forest 6
Garner visited preseason #1 Wake Forest Tuesday afternoon. Wake Forest came out hot in the beginning against NC State commit Jaxon Lucas after being upset by Clayton in their opener. Wake Forest plated 1 run in the 1st off a single by UNC commit Luke Stevenson. They followed it up with two in the third on a triple by Ian Williams as they were in total control of the game through 4. Jimmy Lovelace commanded the zone through 4 innings as he only gave up 1 hit. Garner struck in the top of the 5th as Jaxon Lucas belted a solo shot to make the contest 3-1. Cooper Allen led off the 4th with an opposite field solo shot off of Jordan Buffalo to take a 4-1 lead. Ethan Brittain added a 2 run double in the 5th as Wake Forest took their home opener 6-1.
