Prep Baseball Report Scout Days allow teams an opportunity to showcase their players for PBR scouts, and college coaches, while working with PBR to produce a full pro-style workout.  Players, at a PBR Scout Day, will run a laser timed 60 yard dash, workout offensively, receiving multiple rounds of live BP, as well as going through exit velocity testing.  Following the offensive workout, players are able to workout at their primary defensive position.  Pitchers will then throw a controlled bullpen.

On Saturday November 9^th, PBR of North Carolina ran a Scout Day for players in the Diamond Deacon program and a handful of players from the Muddog organization.  As PBR begins to take a deep look at each player in attendance, we take a look at some players that made a quick impression throughout the day, with the Quick Hitters.  Full looks at the statistics from the workout, as well as individual player breakdowns will be coming soon.

Bryson Bennett, OF/RHP, 2023
Ahletic build with loose hands from the left side.  Lined balls to the gaps during batting practice with better than average bat speed.

Bryson Bowman, 1B/RHP, 2023
Worked gap to gap with a line drive approach.  Has some strength and quickness to his hands that should only get better as his lanky 6-foot 3 frame fills out.

Beau Callahan, C, 2023
Left hand hitter who sprayed balls all over the filed during his batting practice. Has feel for his barrel and bat speed should keep getting better with added strength.

Evan Cecile, SS/RHP, 2023
Flat swing from the right side with better than average barrel awareness.  Hands work, lining balls gap to gap.  Flashed pitch-ability with feel for multiple pitches and multiple slots.

Kaden Fuller, 2B/RHP, 2023
Made consistent hard contact throughout his batting practice.  Strength is present with better than average bat speed.   Arm strength was present on the mound with reason to believe the ceiling could be high.

Joshua Jones, 3B/RHP, 2023
Short stroke and hit a lot of line drives.  Short stroke with quick, using the whole field.

Harrison Lewis, 1B/RHP, 2023
Left the yard to left field during batting practice.  Quick hands with some barrel whip through the zone.  A lot of projection left to dream about on the mound.  Raw with some tempo to the delivery and a very quick arm. 

Tate Vogler, SS/RHP, 2024
Drives the ball with above average bat speed.  Has quick hands and strength is present in 6-foot 3 frame.  Did not go “full-go” on the mound but even in a tempered bullpen the projection is easy to identify.  There is arm strength present and it should grow.

Charlie Stogner, OF, 2024
Balanced approach, staying through the middle of the field.  Athletic in the box with quick hands, finding his barrel often throughout his batting practice.
