Quick Hitters: Rawlings Prospects NC - Position Players

On Tuesday September 12th PBR of North Carolina was on hand at Knightdale High for the Fall Triangle ID and the Rawlings Prospects Scout Day. The events ran together and featured players from the 2024-2027 grad classes.
The evening began with catchers going through a defensive evaluation followed by pitchers throwing a controlled bullpen with Trackman collecting data on each pitch. After the pitchers the position players ran a laser timed 60 followed by batting practice on the field with Trackman collecting ball flight data. The events concluded with outfielders and infielders going through a defensive evaluation.

Quick Hitters
6-foot, 165-pound frame. Lined balls to both sides of the field during BP. Top exit velocity at 90.7 mph, average EV at 81.3 mph. Hands have strength and quickness, mostly flat swing path. Arm has carry to second base topping at 77 mph from behind the plate. Arm peaked at 88 mph from the outfield. Ran a 7.09 laser timed 60.
5-foot-8, 165-pound build. Stayed through the middle of the field during BP. Barrel stays inside the ball and works flat through the zone. Top exit velocity at 82.3 mph, average EV at 76.4 mph. Arm reached 80 mph across the infield.
5-foot-11, 170-pound frame. Worked gap to gap during BP. Controlled load, flat swing path with quickness to his hands. Peak exit velocity at 86.2 mph, average EV at 77.3 mph. Arm topped at 78 mph across the diamond. Ran a 7.26 laser timed 60.
6-foot-1, 175-pound build. Top exit velocity at 89.5 mph, average EV at 76.2 mph. Worked mostly through the middle and to the opposite field during BP. Leg kick load with some lift to the swing path, hands have quickness. Arm reached 78 mph on the infield. Ran a 7.23 laser timed 60.
5-foot-8, 140-pound frame that has added strength over the last year. Simple, balanced swing. Hands have quickness, barrel works inside the ball with some lift to the barrel path. Worked to both sides of the field posting a peak exit velocity of 81 mph, average EV at 72.4 mph. Arm topped at 82 mph across the diamond.
6-foot, 155-pound frame. Left hand hitter. Direct path with his barrel working flat through the zone. Legs drive through the swing with quickness to his hands, balanced approach. Top exit velocity at 84.2 mph, average EV at 74.5 mph. Arm reached 79 mph on the infield.
