DI JUCOs

Louisburg College

  • Dropped a midweek game to Brunswick CC 4-3
  • Trendon Craig led the way offensively as he went 2-5 with a 2B, 2 RBI’s, and a stolen base
  • Dawson Painter also contributed going 2-3 with a stolen base
  • On the mound, Cole Gursky worked 5 scoreless innings striking out 6 and only surrendering 1 hit

 

DII JUCOs

Brunswick CC

  • Defeated Louisburg College 4-3 on Wednesday
  • Lost to Florence-Darlington Technical College 8-4 in the second game of the day
  • Swept USC Sumter in a doubleheader Sunday winning 13-7 and 5-3
  • Chase Hudson went 5-12 with a HR, 2B, and 4 RBI’s on the week
  • Gordon Pihl  went 4-15 on the week with a HR, 2B, and 6 RBI’s and a stolen base
  • Cam Murphy went 4-11 on the week adding a HR, 3B, and 2 stolen bases
  • Alex Reed went 3-10 on the week with a HR, 2B, and 3 RBI’s
  • Kenny Leiner  homered in the win against Louisburg
  • Kei Yamagishi threw 7 innings this week with 12 strikeouts and only gave up one run with 2 total walks. He picked up his second win of the season in game two on Sunday
  • Cale Bolton posted a solid week out of the bullpen with 4 total innings, 5 strikeouts, and one earned run

Catawba Valley CC

  • Swept USC Union on Wednesday winning 12-5 and then 7-2
  • Chandler Blackwelder had quite the week going 12-20 with 2 homeruns, 5 RBI’s, 3 2B, a 3B, and 2 stolen bases
  • James Hinson went 5-15 with 3 RBI’s over the week
  • Masashi Takegama went 2-4 with 2 RBI’s and 2 stolen bases in the game two win
  • Ian Asken got the win in game two throwing two scoreless innings without giving up a hit and striking out two
  • Dropped 2 out of 3 games in a weekend series against USC Salkehatchie, L 17-16, W 10-0, L 7-4
  • Brett Banks threw the first ever perfect game in CVCC history in the game two win going 7 innings with 8 strikeouts needing only 82 pitches 
  • Brett Eurey was 5-14 with two homers and 7 RBI’s over the weekend
  • Andrew Dye threw 5.1 innings in relief in game three striking out 7 while giving up two runs 

Fayetteville Tech CC

  • Defeated William Peace JV on Wednesday by a score of 12-1
  • Jaiden Barker went 2-3 with a 2B and 3 RBI’s
  • Johnnie Lowery went 2-5 with 2 doubles in the win
  • Wyatt Carey threw 2 scoreless innings and struck out 2
  • Octavis Faison threw 1 inning in relief and also struck out 2 while not giving up any runs

Guilford Tech CC

  • Series against Caldwell CC postponed 

Lenoir CC

  • Swept by Patrick Henry CC Sunday, 10-0 and 6-3
  • Nathan Craig went 2-5 with a 2B on the day
  • Rayce Harrelson went 2-3 with an RBI in game two
  • Ryan Sullivan threw in relief in game two going 3.1 innings with 4 strikeouts, while allowing 2 runs on 3 hits

Pitt CC

  • Lost a midweek game to Mt. Olive JV 6-5
  • Bryce Lewis was 2-4 with 2 doubles and 2 RBI
  • Caleb Smallwood also doubled and put 2 RBI on the board
  • Grant Millay tossed a scoreless inning in relief striking out 3, 1 walk
  • Jack Goleski also threw a scoreless inning with 2 strikeouts

Southeastern CC

  • Split a doubleheader with Spartanburg Methodist, W 9-7 and L 7-6
  • Dylan Bacot went 2-3 with a 2B and RBI in game one
  • Zach Roberts went 2-5 with 2 2B’s and 3 RBI on the day
  • Colin Cordera went 2-4 with an RBI in the loss
  • Peyton Schofield threw a clean inning in game two striking out 2 with no hits, runs, or walks allowed

Wake Tech CC

  • No games this week

Caldwell CC

  • Game against Surry CC and series against Guilford Tech postponed

Rockingham CC

  • Took both games of the Monday doubleheader against Ferrum College JV winning 8-7 and 11-1
  • Jarred Simpson was 4-8 with 2 2B’s and 6 RBI’s on the day
  • Jonathan Todd got the win on the mound in game one as he threw 3 scoreless innings with 8 strikeouts, giving up 2 hits and one walk
  • Brandon Leonard got the win in game two going 4 innings with 4 strikeouts allowing one run on 4 hits and 1 walk
  • Carson Wray went 1-2 with a 2B and 2 RBI’s in the game two win
  • Dylan Mauldin threw an inning in relief giving up no runs and striking out 2 in game two

Surry CC

  • Dropped both games of a doubleheader Saturday to Patrick Henry CC, 12-0 and 11-1
  • Colton Locklear went 1-3 with an RBI in game two
  • Payton O’Rourke and David Brannen both tossed 0.2 scoreless innings in the game two loss, Brannen had a strikeout

  • Scott McDonough went 7-13 with a HR, 2B, 6 RBI, and 2 stolen bases on the week
  • Luke Wood went 7-15 with a 2B, 2 RBI, and 2 stolen bases
  • Patrick Matthews went 5-15 with a HR, 2B, and 6 RBI on the week

  • Swept Columbia International University JV in a doubleheader Tuesday, 14-4 and 17-7
  • Split a doubleheader Wednesday against Southeastern CC, L 9-7 and W 7-6
  • Lost 10-5 against Southern Union State CC on Friday
  • Lost 19-7 against Chattahoochee Valley CC on Saturday
  • Lost 10-2 against John A. Logan College on Sunday
  • Khyree Miller went 11-25 with 3 homeruns, a 2B, and 6 RBI’s over the week
  • Jordan Starkes went 11-23 with a 2B, 4 RBI’s, and 3 stolen bases over the week
  • Dasi Jones went 7-24 with a HR, 2 3B’s, a 2B, and 12 RBI’s this past week
  • Charles Schaum threw 2 clean innings with 3 strikeouts, no runs, and 1 hit allowed on his way to the win in game one of Tuesday
