South Atlantic Border Battle: Scout Blog - Padres & Mets

PBR was on hand for the 2020 South Atlantic Border Battle held at the High Point Rockers Stadium in High Point, NC. The teams are coached by Area Scouts for MLB teams. The event featured lots of talent from up and down the east coast. Today we highlight some North Carolina players who were represented the Padres and Mets Scout Teams.

Padres

Dylan Koontz, RHP/IF, Hough HS, 2021  -  Campbell commit. Strength present in 6-foot-2, 190-pound frame. Put together solid at bats throughout the weekend. The left hand hitter had two opposite field hits facing left hand arms with one being a double to the left center gap. Barreled another ball to center on day two. Has lift to his swing path with feel for his barrel and the ability to drive the ball to both gaps. Showed solid hands and quick reactions while playing third base. Strike thrower
