Prep Baseball Report was at Ting Stadium in Holly Springs on Monday June 17th to run the PBR Scout Day with the Performance Academy (TPA). Coming off a busy weekend with several players competing in the State Games of NC, as well as several teams playing in tournaments, several players were limited but it did not stop the overall depth of the program from shining through.
Position players went through a full pro-style workout, running a laser timed 60 on the turf surface, followed by offensive evaluations, including multiple rounds of BP. During the defensive workout, PBR was able to measure arm strength from a player's position, while evaluating hands, feet, carry, and accuracy. After the position players, pitchers that were not restricted from their weekend work load were able to throw a controlled bullpen, showcasing their stuff for PBR scouts.

Top 60 Yard Dash Times
The sixty was run in the outfield on Ting Stadium's artificial surface. PBR used a laser timer to record the 60 yard times. Below are the top performances from the TPA Scout Day.

Top Exit Velocity
Position players were able to hit in the cages prior to their live BP. One of the stations during BP was an exit velocity station where players' exit velocity was measured with a radar gun. Below are the top exit velocities from the TPA Scout Day.

Top Catcher Pop Times
Catchers worked out behind the plate, simulating throws to 2B with a runner stealing. Middle infielders were asked to straddle 2B and let the ball ride to their body before receiving. Coaches and scouts are recording the time it takes for the ball to hit the catchers glove until the ball hits the middle infielders glove. The top 3 times from the TPA Scout Day are below.
