Team Carolina Prospect ID - Mooresville: Quick Hitters-Position Players

PBR of North Carolina hosted its Team Carolina Prospect ID on June 23rd at Moor Park in Mooresville, NC. The event is used to select players to represent Team Carolina at the Future Games, Junior Future Games, Unsigned Senior Games, Academic Games, and other select events held in the Carolina’s. The event featured players from the 2022-2026 grad classes.
The event started with catchers going through their defensive evaluations. After the catchers the pitchers threw bullpens with cameras rolling and Trackman gathering ball flight data. Position players started their workout with a laser timed 60 then taking BP on the field with Trackman collecting ball flight information. After BP infielders and outfielders went through their defensive workout.

Quick Hitters- Position Players
Direct barrel path with quick hands. Hand speed topped at 23.80 mph on the Blast sensors. Hit several line drives with the ability to use the whole field. Better than average hands on the infield with an accurate arm.
Athleticism present in a 5-foot-9, 150-pound frame that has plenty of room for maturation in the coming years. Short swing with a line drive approach. Hit several balls off the barrel during his BP rounds. Hands are soft on the infield with fluid actions. Arm has accuracy and carry across the diamond.
Strength and athleticism exist in a 6-foot, 190-pound frame. Made lots of loud contact in BP leaving the yard multiple times to his pull side. Ball off his barrel topped at 100.72 mph. Above average bat speed with an uphill swing path. Arm topped at 77 mph to second base.
Posted the top 60-time on the lasers at 6.56. Left hand hitter. Consistently hit balls off his barrel during BP with his exit velocity peaking at 98.95 mph. Left the yard to the oppo gap multiple times during his rounds. Gets his barrel in the zone early and stays through the zone. Above average bat speed.
Athletic build with room for growth ahead at 5-foot-10, 160-pounds. Has barrel feel working through the middle of the field Hands are quick with some lift to the swing path. Athletic on the infield with fluid actions and soft hands. Accurate arm with carry across the diamond. Posted a 6.98 on the lasers.
Strength present in a 6-foot, 175-pound build. Lined balls through the middle of the field during his BP rounds. Barrel is short to the ball with some lift through the zone. Soft hands on the infield, arm is accurate with carry to first base.
Left hand hitter with quick hands that topped at 26.20 mph. Flat swing with lots of balls coming hard off his barrel. Exit velocity peaked at 98.11 mph. Athletic on the infield with above average hands. Quick arm with accuracy and carry to first base. Posted a 6.72 on the lasers.
Strength present in a 6-foot-1, 187-pound frame. Left hand hitter with above average bat speed. Has pop to his pull side and also went over the wall in left center multiple times during his BP rounds. Softs hands on the infield. Ran a 7.25 60 on the lasers.
Above average bat speed topping at 81.40 mph on the blast sensors. Uses the whole field with his barrel staying inside the ball and working up through the zone. Plenty of hard contact with the ball off his barrel peaking at 98.22 mph. Arm topped at 75 mph to second base.
Lanky frame with room to fill out in the coming years at 6-foot-3, 170-pounds. Hands are loose and quick with his barrel working flat through the zone, Worked mostly through the middle and to his pull side with his exit velocity reaching 90.10 mph.
Made tons of loud contact during his BP rounds. Short to long swing path with the ball carrying off his barrel. Top exit velocity at 100.96 mph. Hands are strong and quick staying balanced throughout his swing. Above average bat speed and barrel feel. Ran a 7.12 on the lasers.
Loose swing with a flat barrel path through the zone. Lined balls through the middle and to his pull side with the ball off his barrel reaching 96.46 mph. Bat speed topped at 80.70 mph. Arm has accuracy and carry. Posted a 6.86 60-time on the lasers.
Physical build at 6-foot-2, 215-pounds. Made hard contact through the middle of the field. Exit velocity recorded at 96.31 mph. Has lift to the swing path with his bat speed reaching 79.20 mph. Posted a 7.33 laser timed 60.
5-foot-11, 143-pound frame with plenty of room for maturation ahead. Left hand hitter with quick hands that topped at 24 mph on the Blast Sensors. Uses the whole field with some lift to the barrel path through the zone. Accurate arm defensively.
Strength present in a 6-foot-1, 228-pound frame. Made hard contact to both gaps with his barrel working directly to the ball. Top exit velocity recorded at 93.73 mph. Hands have strength and quickness. Arm peaked at 73 mph to second base.
Left hand hitter with a flat swing path. Lined balls through the middle and to his pull side. Hands have quickness with better than average bat speed. Ball off his barrel reached 93.27 mph. Arm is accurate with carry.
Strong build at 6-foot-1, 180-pounds. Quick hands with his barrel working direct to the ball. Hand speed topped at 23.80 mph. Will use the whole field with his exit velocity peaking at 93.40 mph. Posted a 7.23 laser timed 60.
6-foot, 165-pound frame with room for growth ahead. Left hand hitter with above average bat speed. Works through the middle of the field with lift to his swing path. Hands are quick topping at 22.60 mph on the Blast Sensors. Ran a 7.15 60 on the lasers.
