The Hotlist: PBR Draft 100 Extras

By Nathan Rode and PBR Staff

Last week, we updated the 2017 PBR Draft 100 to reflect the current state of the high school class with the upcoming draft. There are plenty of draft prospects outside the top 100 who could hear their name called next month. Listed alphabetically below are a handful of prep stars who were considered for the PBR Draft 100 and could find themselves squeezing in when the list is tweaked in the coming weeks.

Patrick Bailey, C, Wesleyan Christian Academy, NC
A North Carolina State recruit, Bailey is extremely advanced behind the plate. He handles pitchers well, creating an easy target with good posture and excellent hands. He blocks with ease and is a reassuring communicator. His release is quick and his arm strong with plus accuracy to second base. His feet work with good direction and his pop times sit in the area of 1.9-2.0 seconds. A switch-hitter, he takes aggressive swings and keeps a level path with looseness and bat speed.
