Scouting Notes: An easy fastball and repeat-able delivery flashed a quick hand.  At 5-foot-11, 170 pounds, with a strong, athletic build, Lambeth topped at 86 and sat 84-86 with ease.  The delivery loads at balance with decent rhythm.  The shoulders work uphill to provide some leverage before finishing slightly open with good direction.  Lambeth's change-up and curveball both worked with near fastball hand-speed.  The change sat 74-77, while the curveball ranged 68-71.  

INTERVIEW WITH PBR:

PBR:  What factors lead to your commitment to Lenoir Rhyne?

ZL:  Great academic school, a good Christian environment, and a very talented and competitive program.

PBR:  What other schools were you considering?

ZL:  UNC-Pembroke and UNC-Asheville

PBR:  Where there any coaches on the recruiting trail that you built a relationship with?

ZL:  Coach Wise and Coach Fleenor made me feel like a part of the team the moment I stepped on campus.

PBR:  Where did the coaches at Lenoir Rhyne see you?

ZL:  At a fall league game at the HiToms stadium

PBR:  When did the recruiting process begin to heat up for you -- was there a particular event or game?

ZL:  The recruiting really started heating up for me at the end of my high school season and went through my showcase season

PBR:  What are your goals for this upcoming fall and spring?

ZL:  I am currently working out to become a stronger and better athlete during the off season as I prepare for the spring.

PBR:  Who are some of the coaches, or people, that have helped develop you on the baseball field?

ZL:  I've had a lot of coaches to help me out over the 14 years. I give a lot of credit to my pitching coach Scott Bankhead who really helped me develop as a pitcher. My high school coach Rob Shore, and my dad who coached me until I was 13.

PBR:  You attended a PBR event this past summer... What are your thoughts on PBR NC, the event, and the coverage of HS baseball in NC?

ZL:  PBR was a great way to get my name out more, they ran a first class showcase event. They really gave me a lot of exposure with their write-ups and videos posted on the website.

PBR:  Any advice for the players in the 2018 & 2019 classes that are beginning their process?

ZL:  Just continue to work hard and don't give up. Always give 110% because somebody is always watching you. Just enjoy the process and don't let it get to you.
