Top Viewed Profiles of 2018 - No. 13 Tanner Martin

As we wind down another great year, we begin to take a look back at 2018.  After drilling down into our google analytics, we have compiled a list of the twenty most viewed PBR profiles in North Carolina.  Beginning on December 17th and ending on December 30th, we will dive into the profiles that garnered the most hits in 2018.

The player profiles in PBR’s vast database received well over 7.5 million hits in 2018.  Players from each region in North Carolina drove coaches, scouts, and fans to their PBR profile to learn more.  Today we take a look at No. 13 in the 2018 countdown of the most viewed profiles from North Carolina

 

No. 13 – Tanner Martin

Martin is a physical outfielder that garnered a lot of interest out of the PBR Top Underclass Games at Campbell in August.  At 6-foot-4, 190 pounds, he has run a 7.06 sixty and produced an exit velocity of 91 mph.  The pure measurables grabbed the attention of college coaches at Campbell as well as those that followed the event’s evaluations and player videos.  Attending Combine Academy and scheduled to graduate in 2021, Martin will continue to garner interest heading into the spring season.

Scouting Report

08.09.18
Physical presence at 6 feet 4, 195-pounds.  Athletic with a strong, defined lower half.  Quickness exists, running a 7.09 sixty.  Hits from the right side using an open setup.  Smooth load with a short stride.  Fluid swing with a line drive approach.  More strength than bat speed with his exit velocity topping at 91 mph.  Ball jumps when on the barrel.  Displayed barrel awareness in BP and in game.  Wants extension with an ability to drive balls to opposite field.  Showed his strength at the plate in game, driving a ball to the opposite field gap.  Plays through balls in the outfield with average hands and clean exchanges.  Long arm action, throwing from a high ¾ slot.  Positional velocity peaked at 81 mph.  Average instincts in the outfield.  Athleticism and reps should allow him to continue to mature at the position as well.
