Uncommitted Spotlight: Angelo Herrera

 

5-foot-8, 185 pound athlete.  Strength present with broad shoulders and a slender waist.  Right handed hitter is tall and quiet.  Early push back with the hands through the load, working to a flat path with quickness through the zone.  Max exit velocity peaked at 90.5mph but it was the consistency with an average exit velocity of 85.0mph that caught eyes. Blast numbers love his rotational acceleration paired with above average numbers in his hand speed.  Defensively solid at 2B. Active feet with trust in his hands, funneling to the mid-section.  Easy transfer and release.  Arm may have to grow to stick on the left side of the field, but his ability to secure the baseball and get it out allows the arm to play average at 2B.
