Prep Baseball NC

Prep Baseball North Carolina wrapped up October on Saturday, October 31st with the Fall Games: UNC Charlotte, hosted at Robert and Mariam Hayes Stadium on the campus of UNC Charlotte, home of the Charlotte 49ers. The event combined a complete pro-style workout with controlled game action, allowing players to update their profiles with advanced metrics and video while giving the Prep Baseball scouting staff multiple ways to evaluate the players in attendance.

The day began with offensive evaluations as hitters worked through rounds of batting practice. TrackMan tracked ball flight off the bat while BLAST Motion collected swing metrics, providing an analytical look at each player's offensive performance.

Players then transitioned into defensive evaluations and athletic testing. The workout included a laser-timed 60-yard dash along with jump testing powered by VALD Athletics, providing verified measurements of speed and explosiveness. Players also completed Vizual Edge testing, adding another layer of information on how each athlete sees, processes, and reacts to visual information.

Following the workout, the event transitioned into a controlled live scrimmage with two teams competing in a hitters-versus-pitchers format. With the event taking place late in October, the game was structured to limit unnecessary stress on the pitchers while still providing valuable live evaluations. Hitters received three at-bats during game play while also rotating through multiple defensive positions.

The combination of advanced metrics, video, defensive evaluations, athletic testing, and live game action provided a comprehensive look at each player as they prepare to transition into their offseason development. It also continues to build each player's history on his Prep Baseball profile, allowing college coaches and professional scouts to track development over time.

Prep Baseball NC will continue to break down the Fall Games: UNC Charlotte with statistical leaderboards, Data Dives, and scouting coverage highlighting the players and performances that stood out throughout the event.
