Open IDs give Prep Baseball Scouts a chance to see players from their area while also working to fill out rosters for upcoming regional and national events like the Future Games, Super Sophomore Games, and Top Prospect Games.  The Team Carolina Trials fall under this Open ID forum.  The Team Carolina Trials: Triangle brought Prep Baseball to Clayton, NC on a very nice playing surface, allowing players to perform at a high level.

The event started with position players going through their athletic testing, including height and weight measurments, a vertical jump, RSI jumps, grip strength testing, and a laser timed 60.  Offensive evaluations were next, including multiple rounds of BP.  BP was followed by defensive evaluations and then pitcher bullpens.

• 18 Players from NC including graduates from 2025, 2026, 2027, & 2028
• 8 players registered a vertical of 30in or higher
• 2 players saw their grip strength peak at above 130 psi 
• 10 players had an exit velocity of 90mph or higher in BP
• 1 player posted an exit velocity above 100mph
• 4 infielders had arm stregnth at 80mph or higher across the diamond
• 5 hitters posted an average bat speed of 70mph or higher with BLAST.

6'2 175. Lean explosive athlete with a 7.03 60 yard dash and 32.5 inch vertical. Line drive oriented swing with a max exit velo at 97 MPH. 

Gabriel Allen, 2027, INF, Hoke County High School

5'10 140. Whippy LHH athlete with good rhytem in the box. Exit velo maxed at 81.4 MPH. Arm peaked at 78 across the diamond.

Reed Benamati, 2025, OF, Ronald Reagan High School 

6'0 165. A very explosive athlete, posted a 6.49 60 yard dash and a 37.1 inch verital. Athleticism translated in the box with a max exit velo of 97.7 MPH.

Salvatore Benkovics, 2028, INF/C, Wayne Christian

5'7 125. Catching velo peaked at 69 MPH with POP times ranging 2.12-2.16. In the box the exit velo maxed at 78.8 MPH.

Braden Bloom, C, 2026, Apex Friendship High School

6'0 170. Athletic reciever with a quick transfer pop times ranged 1.97-2.03. Arm peaked at 85 from the OF. In the box exit velo maxed at 92.6 MPH.

Simon Brutskiy, INF, 2027, Apex High School

5'10 170. Pull side approach with loft present in the swing. Exit velo topped at  89.4 MPH. Arm topped at 84 with lots of carry across the diamond.

Drew Collins, OF, 2026, Ronald Reagan High School

5'11 160.  Good feel for the barrel with a sweet spot percentage of 75%.  Accurate arm thats velo peaked at 80 from the outfield.

Mason Dean, OF, 2025, Green Hope High School

6'3 195. LHH, Lean athlete with a whippy barrel. Exit velo peaked at 95.6 MPH with a max bat speed of 74.8 MPH. Posted a 6.79 60 yard dash.

Will Evans, OF, 2026, Cardinal Gibbons High School

5'8 165. LHH with a simple swing with feel for barrel. Exit velo maxed at 89 MPH with a max distance of 318FT. Arm peaked at 79 MPH from the OF.

Hunter Hedgecoe, INF/C, 2028, Terry Sanford High School

5'11 175. Quick exchange behind the plate producing pop times of 2.04-2.2. Arm peaked at 74 from the crouch. Exit velo maxed at 87.1 MPH.

Brody Hines, C, 2025, Corinth Holders High School

5'6 130. Quality reciever with good framing abilities. Pop times ranged 2.00-2.07. Exit velo maxed at 87.6.

Zach Overton, C, 2026, Rolesville High School

6' 190. Physical presence in the box with power potential likely. Exit velo maxed at 97.8 MPH. Behind the plate POP times ranged 1.97-2.12

Sebastian Rodriguez, INF, 2025, Grimsley High School

6' 170. Switch Hitter with good feel in the box. Hand speed maxed at 22.1 MPH. Exit velo peaked at 91.2MPH with a max distance of 341 ft.

Parker Simo, OF, 2027, JH Rose High School

5'7 145. LHH with a feel for the barrel, had a 76% sweet spot percentage. Max exit velo was 85.1 MPH. Arm reached 81 from OF.

Ethan Wisler, OF, 2027, Wakefield High School

6'1 170. Whip and leverage generates plus bat speed at 76.8 MPH.  Generated a max exit velo of 90.5. Arm peaked at 86 from OF.

Banks Woody, C, 2027, North Raleigh Christan Academy

5'10 180. Impressive power display during BP. Exit velo maxed at 101.1 and a max distance of 399ft. Showed plus bat speed at 81.2.  Pop time ranged 2.08-2.1
