TOP PROSPECT
Michael Ippolito, 2020, SS/RHP, Randolph HS (NJ)
5-foot-11, 155-pound two-way prospect impressed with his all-around skill set. The right-handed hitter starts from a slightly open stance and uses a lift-and-replace stride to initiate his swing. Showed above average feel for the barrel with a direct swing path and a bat exit velocity of 82 mph. Ran a 7.05 60-yard dash and flashed a soft glove hand defensively with the ability to make throws from multiple arm angles. Showcased 84 mph arm strength across the diamond and sat 80-82 from a high 3/4 arm slot on the mound. Curveball is average with 10/4 rotation at 67-69, but changeup is above average with arm-side run and some sink at 74-76.
Remainder of Roster: (in alphabetical order)
Nick Fox, 2020, RHP, Hillsborough HS (NJ)
6-foot-4, 160-pound righty sat 80-82 from a high 3/4 arm slot with a hook in the back. Fastball showed short arm-side run while his changeup displayed some cut action at fastball arm speed. Also displayed a curveball with 11/5 rotation at 68-70. Delivery is balanced with a side rocker step to begin and a bit of hip coil that adds deception.
Eric Gustofson, 2020, LHP, Easton Area HS (PA)
5-foot-11, 170-pound lefty sat 80-82 with both a four-seam and two-seam fastball. Repeats delivery with balance throughout and showed command of a three pitch mix. Curveball sat 67-68 with 1/7 rotation and occasional two-plane break. Slider is flat through the zone at 74-76. Additional velocity is likely as Gustofson adds strength to his athletic frame. Definite follow in this class.
Kolbie Reeser, 2020, RHP/2B, Governor Mifflin HS (PA)
5-foot-10, 160-pound primary pitcher sat 79-81 from a high 3/4 arm slot with a balanced, repeatable delivery. Arm motion is long in the back and quick out front with velocity spikes likely in the future. Curveball at 68-70 showed 11/5 rotation with some late bite. Changeup at 71-73 is flat at near fastball arm speed. Knuckle ball is commanded well and shows tumbling action at 68-71. Right-handed hitter starts from a square stance and use a heel-raise stride to initiate his swing. Displayed a solid feel for the barrel with a bat exit velocity of 77 mph. Ran a 7.69 60-yard dash and showcased accurate 74 mph arm strength across the diamond defensively while playing through the baseball routinely.
Drew Scott, 2020, OF/RHP, Downingtown West HS (PA)
5-foot-7, 165-pound primary outfielder ran a 7.68 60-yard dash and showcased accurate 73 mph arm strength defensively. Right-handed hitter starts from a slightly open stance and initiates his swing with a heel raise stride. Displayed a line drive approach with a bat exit velocity of 80 mph. Righty sat 74-75 from a high 3/4 arm slot on the mound. Also showcased a curveball at 60-63 with 10/4 rotation and a changeup at 67-69 thrown with near fastball arm speed.
Devlin Foster, 2020, RHP/3B, Rising Sune HS (MD)
5-foot-11, 180-pound primary pitcher sat 68-70 out of an over-the-top arm slot working solely out of the stretch. Also displayed a curveball at 65-66 with 11/5 rotation and a changeup at 61-63. The right-handed hitter starts from a square stance and initiates his swing with a lift-and-replace stride. Showcased a solid lower half and a feel for the barrel with a bat exit velocity of 82 mph. Ran a 7.53 60-yard dash and displayed accurate 74 mph arm strength across the diamond defensively with the same over-the-top arm motion.
Tyson Maddox, 2020, OF/RHP, Germantown Friends School (PA)
6-foot-1, 180-pound two-way prospect showcased an interesting skill set with raw athleticism across the board. The right-handed hitter starts from a leg-lift stride to initiate his swing. A deep load position leads to length in the swing with some ability to create back spin. Registered an 85 mph bat exit velocity and ran a 7.28 60-yard dash. Showcased accurate 76 mph arm strength from the outfield and sat 74-76 off the mound from a high 3/4 arm slot. Curveball is a pitch in development at 59-63 with 11/5 rotation. Changeup sat 70-73 at near fastball arm speed.
Michael May, 2020, 3B/RHP, Solanco HS (PA)
6-foot-1, 190-pound two-way prospect showcased an 85 mph bat exit velocity and some present gap power during a solid round of batting practice. The right-handed hitter starts from an open stance and initiates his swing with a short leg-hang stride. A strong lower half and a direct swing path resulted in repeated hard contact. Showcased active feet and a soft glove hand defensively with accurate 76 mph arm strength across the diamond. Sat 71-73 from a high 3/4 arm slot on the mound while also commanding a curveball at 58-62 with 11/5 rotation. Changeup is a quality third offering at 60-61 with arm-side run and some sink at near fastball arm speed.
Dominic Pizzico, 2020, RHP, Minersville Area HS (PA)
6-foot-3, 180-pound right-hander sat 77-79 from a high 3/4 arm slot with an aggressive side rocker step to start. Arm swing is long in back and short in front. Tendency to get around curveball at 63-66 with 11/5 rotation causing it to flatten out. Slider is best pitch currently at 72-74 with late, short break. Changeup at 72-74 lacks enough differential from his fastball velocity. Athletic, projectable frame will likely lead to additional velocity in the coming years.
