Madden stands an athletic 6-foot-2, 180-pounds with a pitchers build. The southpaw uses workable mechanics with tempo, a little stiff with his front side, shoulders rotate, knee cross over the rubber. Throws from a high-3/4 slot with a fastball sitting 85-86 mph - max 87, free and easy with late life. Curveball has advanced spin but needs more feel, changeup much the same. This Spring is as big as they get for the Southern-Tier product as he aims to garner MLB scouts interest - typical late bloomer from the Northeast.
