Highlights From Some Games Around New York

Livonia HS Recap: Livonia 16, Wheeling 6

    Livonia came from behind to win 16 to six. They were trailing six to two as they entered the forth inning. They then scored 14 runs to take a demanding lead. They did this with the helpful bats of Brody Metcalf who went three for three, Reid VanScoter who went two for four with and RBI, Jack Horan who went two for two, and Josh Henderson who went two for three with three RBIs.

Plattsburgh HS Recap: Horseheads 8, Plattsburgh 4

    Plattsburgh lost to Horseheads by just a small lead even though they had some notable at bats. One of these was Andrew Bechard who single at both his at bats. Plattsburgh had a good forth inning when they scored three runs but sadly it just wasn't enough.

Laurens HS Recap: McBee 21, Laurens 0

    It was a rough outing for the Laurens Baseball this morning. The box score will only show 4 hits but the club put the ball in play a lot more today then in its previous two games. The defense play much better only surrendering 2 errors and no pass balls. They ran into a hitting machine in McBee who pounded out 15 hits. Mason Weir, Ian Spettel and Mitchell Carrigan recorded their first hits of the year, while Mitchel Barra added his second. Tomorrow's game has yet to be decided. This will be the Leopards final game in Myrtle Beach.

Southwestern HS Recap: Southwestern 8, Beckmantown 11

    Southwestern started out strong taking a five run lead by the fourth inning but then they began to struggle. Mike Sandbloom had some trouble on the mound as he gave up 10 runs and walked four in just five innings. Aside from the loss Niko Pannes had a good say as he went two for three and scored twice.

Brockport HS Recap: Brockport 4, St, James 0

    Brockport had a great day as their pitcher Austin Perry dominated the mound. Perry only gave up two hits, walked five, and struck out four in four and two thirds innings. Shayne Bartnick went two for four with a single and a double in his at bats. Mitchell Henshaw came in to close the game as he continued the Perry's dominating start with seven consecutive outs of his own.
