Mike Pascoe, RHP (Arlington HS) sat down earlier today with PBR to talk about everything baseball. The "buzz" around Pascoe has been growing ever since his sophomore year when his fastball started to show signs of next-level. Now with a fastball topping the mid-upper 80's, and the desire to be great, the sky is truly the limit for the superstitious pitcher from the lower Hudson Valley.

With National Signing Day / Week almost over, lets talk about the recruiting process some. Do you have any offers? Gives us a list of your top schools. Where are you at currently regarding the recruiting process?

Pascoe: The whole process has been a complete blessing from God so far. I've been looking at playing high-level D1 baseball ever since I was a young boy, I feel I'm very close to seeing that as a reality. I have taken visits to Binghamton, Boston College, Pittsburgh, Virginia Tech and Virginia. Other schools I have spoken with are Kansas, Miami, UCF, Duke, Wake Forest, and Clemson. My top three schools right now would be Virginia, Clemson, Virginia Tech.

PBR: At 5-foot-11, 160-pounds your extremely skinny and lean on the mound. What's the secret behind your arm strength?

Pascoe: I am definitely not the biggest guy on the mound in length or mass, but I try to pitch like I'm seven feet tall. I was blessed with a strong arm from an early age, now I do intense arm and pitching workouts at Northstar Sports in Poughkeepsie where they keep me at my best.

PBR: We know your a great pitcher, but out of your section in HS, who will be the best pitcher you might face?

Pascoe: I would say the best pitcher I might square up against would be Tim Zahnbauer.

PBR: I see you can hit as well, (typical pitcher) but who will be the toughest out you might face this year?

Pascoe: Virginia commit Jack Weiller no question about it. He's an all-around great baseball player.

PBR: Do you have any baseball influences?

Pascoe: My baseball influences have mainly been my parents who have sacrificed so much for me, so that I can be successful in baseball and in life. Also all the coaches over the years that have guided me to where I am today.

PBR: Tell us where your baseball goals are at.

Pascoe: My baseball goals are as high as they can be. Since I was six years old I've dreamed of playing in the big leagues. This past summer I got my first taste of that when I received an invite to the Area Code try-outs. It really meant a lot to me, and because I had just finished my sophomore year it was a big honor. So now it's all about work ethic and pushing myself towards my dreams.

PBR: You will be receiving an invite to our All-State Preseason event in Feb. How do you feel about that?

Pascoe: I'm beyond excited to get an invite. Really means a lot that PBR thinks my skills are next level, and I really can't wait to put on the PBR shirt!

PBR: Tell us something about yourself that not many people know.

Pascoe: I have the craziest superstitions and only my teammates have seen all of them. From time to time we joke about them but whatever works for me is all that matters.

Buzz on Pascoe
+ Mike Pascoe, RHP (Arlington HS) stands 5-foot-11, 160-pounds with an athletic, lean build that could hold more weight. On the mound his delivery is quick, which helps with velocity but could use more balance. Arm and hand speed are quick, action is clean, needs to finish more out in front over his knee. Fastball sits mid to upper 80's, curveball shows the ability to spin with 11/4 shape. A 2016 riser with plenty of ceiling to project.
