Dan Cevette
President, NY/PA

The Northeast Procase will take place February 20, 2022 at the Liberty Arena in Williamsport, PA. This event marks the 2nd annual event where committed players from NY/NJ/PA will be on full display showing off all of their hard work this preseason. Currently this event is shaping up to be the most talent filled preseason event in our NY/PA history with 85 players headed to Williamsport. Of those current 85 players, 17 players are committed to Power 5 conferences.

INSIDE THE NORTHEAST PROCASE

Adam Agresti C / 1B / Kennedy Catholic, NY / 2023

Agresti has a prototypical catchers frame standing 6-foot-2, 205-pounds the last time we saw him. Currently ranked nationally in the 2023 class as the 288th best prospect (No. 2 in the NY class), Agresti pocesses a sturdy thick frame with a strong lower half. At the plate he uses a wide upright stance, slight leg lift for timing, hands power inside the ball from a short path. Barrel path is fluid with slight lift after contact producing above average bat-speed (95 mph)/power. He does show control of the barrel using all fields, but his raw juice comes from his pull-side.

Behind the plate he has a wide full-zone target, receives with soft hands and shows the ability to control the running game with his arm. 1.97 pop-time best in a showcase setting, the fundamentals are sound with a clean and fast release. Agresti has the frame and raw ability to make an immediate impact at the next-level and should also gain attention from several MLB Scouts during his senior spring campaign. We are excited to see how far his gains have came since we last saw him this February at the Northeast Procase.
