As we continue to shape-the-state here in NY, more and more players are benefiting from our platform, including Junior College players. This past October we held two showcase events for the JUCO player, one in ENY and one in WNY. Dozens of those players stood-out, showing their ability to play at the four-year level. Over the course of the next few months we will be highlighting "JUCO Spotlights" on players who really stood-out at a past event. Let's get started.

 

CEVETTE'S QUICK HIT: No stranger to the PBR system, Cooper was a standout back at Canandaigua high school, and more specifically at the 2015 / 2016 NYS Games. Fast-forward a few years to the present and the greater Rochester, NY area hurler continues to improve. The frame is now more physical, standing 6-foot-2, 210-pounds with a strong looking, thick lower half. He recently committed to Penn State University, where I see him fitting in at the back half of their bullpen. From the mound the arm is quick and clean, fastball sits 88-90 with downward depth / action, and there's current feel for a wipe-out 77-80 mph slider. Potential to be an impact guy as soon as he reaches campus.
