SCOUTING REPORT
Slender 5-foot-11 145 frame for the right-handed hitting backstop. Offensively- Open setup with feet shoulder's width apart; 30 degree bat angle that inches back on the pitch. Uses a short stride that could get down a touch sooner; hands lead into swing with later lower half activity. Movement is there, needs to be aggressive earlier. Mix of flyball/line drive results. Exit velocity improved by 2 MPH to 82 MPH. Defensively- Compact setup; gains ground during pop step; elevated transfer deep on the body with a short draw. Works through a 3/4 release with a slight delay after transfer before forward arm swing. Improved arm strength to 67 MPH from 61 MPH. Earlier transfer with fluid arm action will only help take down his improved 2.12-2.20 pop time.

WHAT DID WE SEE?
"Aside from the improvements with the measurable numbers, there were several noticeable adjustments both behind the plate and in the box. At the plate there was more lift in the finish of his swing, both events he demonstrated solid contact but was able to drive the ball more in September. Behind the plate Beslito was more continuous with his transfer-footwork-release and the additional arm strength allowed for better carry to complement his accuracy. Continued development of arm strength along with filling out his 5-foot-11 145 pound frame will keep him on the upward trend."
