Recent Improvements: The toolsy 2-way prospect made some significant gains in his metrics the preseason. At the plate, the pure lefty swinger put together a complete round with advanced bat to ball abilities, (Sweet Spot: 92%), barreling line drives from gap to gap. With the up tick in bat speed (75 MPH) Crux's max exit velocity was up to 90 MPH with an average of 84 MPH. Defensively  Andrew is a high level mover in the outfield; Athletic footwork in the approach; fields the ball out in front building momentum through strong, accurate throws up to 87 MPH. He then carried over his impressive all around day to the mound where we saw a 3-pitch mix with + movement. The FB sat 79-80 MPH with arm side run up to 18" & a 75% zone rate. The high spin (2254 RPM) breaking ball has a slurvy action with up to -10" vertical drop and 17" horizontal break for a swing and miss profile. The change up worked down with up to 18" of arm side fade. Crux will be a must follow in his class.
