Shawn Wagner started the game for St. Francis  on the bump, giving his team a chance to win working five strong innings against St. Petersburg Catholic. The Red Raiders lost 3-2 in seven innings at St Petersburg Catholic HS (St Petersburg, FL) on Saturday.

Wagner battled tough against a talented Florida lineup for St. Petersburg. Wagner gave up just two hits, allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out two during his five innings of work.

Ronnie Brosan got the win in relief for St. Petersburg Catholic working two-innings allowing no runs. Bryan Zurowski took the loss for the St. Francis Red Raiders pitching one-inning, three walks and giving up three-runs.

St. Francis Red Raiders took the lead 2-0 in the sixth inning as Ty Syta blasted a two-run single. It didn't take long St. Petersburg Catholic to answer with two runs in the sixth, and adding the wining run in the seventh.
