By Nathan Rode and PBR Staff

We’re moving along with updates to the Overall Rankings and the 2020 class is next. Listed below are some sophomores who are trending upward.

Luke Banister, C, Hutto HS, TX
Banister has a strong, athletic frame at 5-foot-9, 170 pounds. He is an advanced defender with highly athlietic and quick feet behind the plate. His exchange is quick and clean and he makes accurate throws with carry at 76 mph from the crouch. His pop times ranged from 1.93-2.04 seconds. He takes an aggressive swing from the right side with loose hands, rhythm and strength at contact. He has gap power now with more to come in the future.

Bryce Behmer, C, Lancaster Catholic HS, PA
Behmer, who stands at 6 feet, 180 pounds, made a significant jump in the Pennsylvania rankings following a solid performance at the Future Games. He’s an advanced defender with a very quick release, throwing out four base runners in three games. He has also shown the ability to be a run produced at the next level, consistently putting quality at-bats together against top level pitching.
