The 2017 ENY All-Star Games took place Sept. 17 at Marist College. Over 60 high-end prospects took the field showing off their skill-sets in front of our PBR NY scouting staff and nearly a dozen college coaches. As the smoke continues to clear, we are fast-at-work piecing together all the scouting data we collected more than three weeks prior. Today we highlight yet another player who's performance earns an extra look.

Top Performer Report

ENY All-Star Games (September 17, 2017) LeMorta stands 6-foot-1, 205-pounds with a thick lower half. He uses a slight side-step, knee lift gets to his belt level, hands high near his ear. His stride is slightly less than his body length and lands with bend in the front knee, would benefit from more stride-length (flexibility in hips/legs) and a firmer front landing leg. Arm-action is back with elbow staying above hand with extension out in front. Fastball sat 80-83 mph with some late life, showed control in the game especially to his opposite glove side. Throws a slider at 69-72 with a lower arm-slot, would benefit from keeping fastball arm-action and CB the same. Overall, strong thick built pitcher who recently committed to Stony Brook. The more flexible LeMorta becomes the harder he will throw, fun arm to watch from the Capital District region.
