CEVETTE'S QUICK HIT: Davis came to the Feb. 18 event looking to make a statement, and he did just that. Really impressed with his athleticism, runs extremely well for the position, plus his footwork behind the plate is above average. Would like to see him quicken his glove to hand release, which will help get his pop-time under the 2.0 mark. In the box, he's big and strong, uses bat-speed and strength to pound baseballs from a repeatable barrel path. Really good looking catching prospect hailing from the greater Buffalo area.

2/18/19
6-foot-1, 200-pounds and with a well-built, strong thick lower half. Athletic for his size and position evidenced by his 7.11 60-yard dash. In the batters box he uses a wide, relaxed approach, balanced load on the pitch, strong compact hands creating a short barrel path to the ball, slight incline through the zone, above average bat-speed. Defensively, wide base with open setup, receives with soft hands, uses super fast footwork getting himself in a strong throwing position, high over-the-top arm-slot with an average release, 77 mph arm-strength with 2.03 best pop-time. Excited to see him this spring/summer.
