CEVETTE'S QUICK HIT: Had the chance to get eyes on Savedoff back in February at our Preseason Downstate event where I left impressed, especially with his mound work. Built 6-foot-1, 175-pounds and plays physical. Worked out from 3B and showed a strong arm across the diamond, at the plate the approach is simple with some strength in the swing. When he hit the mound at the end of the workout my interest really spiked. He uses a compact delivery, long fluid arm-action and the hand-speed is already above average (85 mph FB). I'm really excited to see where he's at this June at the NYS Games, the ceiling from the mound is lofty.
