It was a historic preseason here in New York with our boots-on-the-ground scouting staff covering 700+ players at showcase events, all February long. The dust has settled and we are now ramping up our efforts in player rankings, scouting reports, and recap articles. While the outcome of the 2020 HS season is on hold, the Prep Baseball Report (NY) will continue to provide unrivaled coverage for the amateur baseball players in the Empire State.

Scouting Report
Physical: 6-foot-0, 182-pounds. Athletic, physical frame. 7.36 runner in the 60; 4.22 home-to-1B.
Offensively: RHH. Crouched, athletic stance with some bend in the knees, hands start behind the ears, uses a medium leg kick for timing Good use of his athleticism in swing, very quick hands, flat barrel path, great use of his lower half and solid extension. Ball jumps off the barrel, lots of hard contact up the middle. 90 MPH raw exit velocity.
Defensively: Consistent footwork fielding the ball slightly off-center in the middle of his body, plays well on the run, smooth hands. Short arm swing with a high 3/4 arm slot. INF - 86 MPH.
Pitching: Builds momentum with a high leg lift and slight turn, gets into back side as he strides in line and finishes with intent. Long, whippy arm action with a high 3/4 release. FB: T83, 80-83 MPH. Downhill plane with ride through the zone, flashes arm side run. CB: MPH.SL: 70-72 MPH. Tight rotation, shows depth. CH: MPH.

"Physical frame and a very sturdy build. Simple swing, leg up and leg down, hands through the zone with solid pop. Puts himself in position to chest up the ball and field it inside his glove foot. Strong arm action across the mound and firm glove work to a smooth transfer. Good downhill work when pitching, really gets his lower half engaged and drives off the mound."
