Scouting Report on Chase
Nate Chase 3B (Webster Schroeder HS, 2015)

Chase stands 6-foot-0 180-pounds and a frame with a lot to like.  He fields the ball with a wide balanced stance, quick transfer, clean arm action and throws from a low ¾ slot at 77 mph. At the plate he starts wide and balanced, hands by his face, back load on the pitch with a small stride. He uses great weight transfer, balanced swing, level bat path through the zone with long extension. Signs of power potential.

7-15-14
Chase stands 6-foot-0 180-pound and athletic. At the plate his setup is balanced with his hands high. He shifts his weight back with a back load and strides before the swing. He has a slight incline in his swing and a nice high finish. His exit velocity is 81 mph. At 3B he uses good baseball actions around the baseball and keeping his body moving after the throw. He throws from a low 3/4 slot at 77 mph. He keeps his feet moving after the throw and ran a 7.31 60.

Analysis:
Chase has great baseball size and the ability to hold an extra 15 pounds of weight with no issues. One thing sticks out to me when I review his notes and video, overall body strength. I was informed Chase was coming back from an Injury (Hand I believe) and so some of the issues are already known, but with the right dedication and workout program he could take his game to new elevations. As we said prior he has the baseball size, he's athletic enough to play 2B if needed or stay at third. His bat has signs of a late middle of the order 5-6 type hitter, long extension through contact and generates powerful bat speed with those long arms. The Unsigned Senior needs a place to call home, the right program would be happy to have him.
