With the 2019 spring season right around the corner, PBR Ohio is eagerly anticipating bringing the Buckeye state the best high school coverage throughout the entire state. Starting in January, we began releasing team previews for teams across the state, leading into the Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings.

2019 Spring Team Preview: Blanchester Wildcats

Team Name: Blanchester Wildcats
Head Coach: Aaron Lawson
Division: III
2018 Record: 20-11
Conference Record: SBAAC, 10-2 (1st)
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 4/2

2019 Team Strengths:

  • Pitching
  • Defense
  • Selfless

Coach Outlook: "We graduated six great seniors. They led us all the way to the regional finals. It is going to be hard to replace that much talent and leadership. However, we do return all starters up the middle in the infield, including our top two arms. It will be interesting to see who takes on the corner spots and how quickly they can adapt to varsity baseball."

PBR Outlook: Coach Aaron Lawson and the Wildcats will look to repeat it's success from 2018 and take a step forward, but will have to do so without six seniors from last years team who graduated. There is talent on the roster to still make a run in 2019.
