Ohio Editor in Chief/NW Scout
Name: Michael McDonough
Position: LHP
Grade: 2016
Height/Weight: 6-0, 160 Pounds
High School: Crestview Local
State Rank: No. 20 in 2016 class
McDonough's thoughts on being selected to play at the MWFG and represent the state of Ohio: "The opportunity to play in this event is once in a lifetime, which makes it much more special. I can't wait to compete against the best from each state. It's my favorite type of ball, playing against the best. Coming from a state with great players and being nominated is a honor. Our team is full with great players and together I think will do great things. Can't wait to get after it with these guys."
Evaluation from Music City Baseball Classic: The 6-foot, 150-pound left-hander has a clean and athletic arm from a high three-quarter slot. He came out of the pen, pumping easy 86-87 mph fastballs, and settled in at 83-86. His low-70s curveball showed good depth at times and he showed a confident mound presence. During his spring season, he broke several career and single-season records.
