With the 2018 spring season right around the corner, PBR Ohio is eagerly anticipating bringing the Buckeye state the best high school coverage throughout the entire state. Starting mid-January, we began releasing team previews for teams across the state, leading into the Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings.

2018 Spring Team Preview: Nordonia Knights

Team Name: Nordonia Knights
Head Coach: Drew Hoisington
Division: I
2017 Record: 15-11
Conference Record: Suburban (National), 10-4 - 2nd Place
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 6/7

2018 Team Strengths:

  • Pitching (Starting/Relief)
  • Defense
  • Baserunning

Coach Outlook: The expectation is contending for a conference title and district championship. Both of those expectations are attainable. We return most of our staff that comes off a season with a 2.10 ERA and have 6 of our 9 starters returning.

PBR Outlook: The Nordonia Knights and coach Drew Hoisington return 6 starters and have high expectations after some success in 2017.
