OHIO STATE GETS A JUMP ON 2016 CLASS

With the National Letter of Intent signing date for the 2015 class is right around the corner, the Buckeyes are getting an early start on the 2016 class by snagging three high profile Ohio prospects in the '16 class.

Within weeks of his impressive performance at the Top Prospect Games in June, southpaw Michael McDonough (Crestview Local) was the first to make a commitment to head coach Greg Beals.

Then, the night before the Futures Games, RHP Jake Vance (Canton Central Catholic) issued a verbal pledge to the Buckeyes.

Looking to add one of the state's top position players, Coach Beals then secured the commitment of local infielder Noah West (Westerville Central) making it two years in a row that the Buckeyes secured Team Ohio's shortstop from the Future Games.
