PBR: Why did you choose Furman?
Kadish: I loved the campus, I was very impressed with the coaches, and Furman also has strong academics.

PBR: What other schools were you considering?
Kadish: I was looking at some Ivy league schools, as well as some Ohio schools. I was also considering playing football as another option.

PBR:  Where did Furman first see you? How did your relationship develop with their coaching staff?
Kadish: Coach Smith contacted me after the Buckeye Scout showcase, and we began to talk regularly. I then went down to their camp, and met the entire coaching staff, as well as took a tour of the campus and city of Greenville. Coach Smith visited me at my house a few weeks later, and we developed a very nice relationship.

PBR: What role do the coaches expect you to play your first year on campus?
Kadish: They expect me to compete for a middle infield spot and outfield also. I will embrace whatever role they think is best to help the team.

PBR:  You are the third 2012 from Ohio to committ to Furman.  Do you know either of the other 2 recruits and did that affect your college decision?
Kadish: Yes, I know Ted Andrews and Jordan Simpson both very well. We have played against each other for as long as I can remember playing competitive baseball. I got the chance to be teammates with Ted Andrews this past summer, and he is one of my best friends. Jordan and I have also become personal friends through the Furman connection, and I can't wait to play with both of these guys for the Paladins.

PBR: What showcases and events did you attend and how did your participation help you in recruting?
Kadish: My participation in multiple showcases and showcase tournaments with my summer teams has definitely helped me not only get noticed by college coaches, but also see how I measure up against top competition.

PBR: What was the most memorable experience from this summer?
Kadish: I loved my summer teammates and coaches, and the whole season was a great experience.

PBR: What were your stats for this spring season at Wyoming?
Kadish: .514, 33 RBI, 12 SB. I also reached the 100 career hit mark this past season.

PBR: Who is the toughest pitcher that you have faced in Ohio?
Kadish: My older brother, Ian Kadish, who is now in the Toronto Blue Jays minor league system. Last summer we would go up to the high school, and have a nice brotherly competition. We both share a deep competitive nature, and took the opportunity to challenge each other.
