2019 Spring Team Preview: Wyoming Cowboys

Team Name: Wyoming Cowboys
Head Coach: Cary Daniel
Division: II
2018 Record: 10-11
Conference Record: CHL, 5-9, (6th)
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 8/2

2019 Team Strengths:

  • Aggressiveness
  • Putting Pressure On Opponent
  • Base Running

Coach Outlook: "We will be young on paper with one senior but we have a lot of varsity experience returning. I have 7 starters that were freshman and sophomores last season returning."

PBR Outlook: Young but experienced Cowboys look to improve off 10 win 2018 season. Look for coach Cary Daniel and Wyoming to show that improvement while possibly being a team to watch come tourney time.

Top Returning Players:

  • Perry McMichen, SS, 2019, 5'10, 165 L/R, 4 Year Varsity Starter, 2018 Captain, with a lot of experience.
  • Thomas Stickney (Video), RHP, 2020, 6'0, 160, R/R, 3 Year Varsity Starter, #1 last season, expected to be #1 again this year.
  • Cooper Kadish, OF/RHP, 2020, 6'1, 170, L/R, 3 Year Varsity Starter.  When healthy, he provides another great arm for our staff.
  • Brennan Pagan, OF/LHP, 2021, 5'9, 165, L/L, 2nd year Varsity Starter.
  • Joshua Parker, RHP/INF, 2020, 5'9, 160, R/R, 2nd Year Varsity Starter.  #2 on the mound last season, expected to be in top 2 pitchers again this season.
  • Elijah Dennis, C/RHP, 2021, 6'1, 165, R/R, 2nd Year Varsity Starter. Anchor behind the plate last season.  He should see more innings on the mound as he is a really good pitcher that will help us make a run.
