Three Unsigned Small School Arms

As the fall season heads into regional play for class A and B teams, there are three arms that made big impacts for their squads, and could at the next level as well. Today, PRB Oklahoma takes a look at three small school arms.

Mason Brinkley, RHP, Tushka HS, 2017
A 5-foot-10, 165-pound right-handed pitcher with athletic build. Works from a quick delivery, 3/4 slot, arm action long in the back, short and fast out front. Fastball has arm-side run and sink, 82-84mph. Slider shows  late with depth, 71-73 mph. Extremely athletic on the mound, making two great plays on bunts.


Landon Grissom, RHP, Stonewall HS, 2018

A 5-foot-10, 170-pound slight, athletic frame.  Athletic delivery, short front side, 3/4 slot, loose, whippy arm action. Fastball ranges from 82-86 mph, late life, slight run.  Slider has 11/5 shape, tight spin, backed up at times, 69-72 mph.  


Luke Leland, RHP, Tupelo HS, 2017

A 6-foot-4, 190-pound tall, long frame. Pitches with below average effort, low-3/4 slot, loose arm. Fastball stays on plane, 81-83 mph. Slider shows sweeping action, some depth, 10/4 shape,66-70 mph.
