Brayden Hoare 1B / OF / St Joseph's Catholic, ON / 2020

Report: Uncommitted 2020 who stood out in games at the Windsor Scout day with multiple home runs in game action. It’s right-handed bat who is a corner infielder with an exit velo of 94 mph. Gets the bat started and stays balanced throughout his swing, looking to jump balls with juice to his pull side. Adequate defender at first, but the interest will be in the bat with the power stroke he showed on a cold windy day this past October.

Kyle Marusic C / 3B / Holy Names, ON / 2020

Report: Interesting left-handed hitting catcher out of Windsor, at the plate showed looseness to his swing in BP and was able to produce hard contact when he was synced up and on time. Behind the dish, top pop time of 2.09 and was on the bag with carry. Some tools to work with and make a few adjustments, look to see a big winter out of Marusic as the frame has room to add size at  6-foot-1, 160-pounds.

Nicholas D'Elia OF / RHP / Everest Academy, ON / 2023

Report: 2023 grad, 5-foot-9, 133-pounds. Good rhythm and timing at the plate, high finish, can elevate the baseball. 76 mph exit velocity. Displays bat speed and athleticism. Moves well in the outfield as he's at 6.81 runner, was up to 69 mph on throws to the plate. Tools are evident on the field, a bright future ahead. Name to follow in his class.

Dylan Winick 3B / RHP / Bill Crothers S.S., ON / 2020

Report: Winick was a standout at Scout Day. He ran a 6.99 60 yard dash to lead off the day. He was up to 85 mph in the exit velocity station. It's a strong build, good foundation, short to the zone, stays through. The ball comes off his bat with authority.  Arm works from third-base, 75 mph across, feel for playing in the infield. Was 74-75 mph on the mound, topped out at 77 mph. He also mixed in a slower breaking ball with some depth at 59 mph.

Cameron Gurney SS / 2B / Pauline Johnson, ON / 2022

Report: Gurney, a left-handed hitter with bat first tool from the 2022 class, hands start low and work with natural uphill path. Had an exit velo of 91 mph this fall and showed some loud contact  during BP, working mainly up the middle and to his pull side with bat speed through the zone and into a high finish. Defensively, middle infielder with some quickness in his arm, 84 mph across the diamond and stayed active in his lower half throughout. Definite 2022 to follow.

Nikko Khananisho SS / 2B / Bill Crothers, ON / 2021

Report: 2021 middle infielder, listed at 5-foot-11, 160-pounds with room for added strength gains. Lower half moves well defensively with feel and softness in the hands. Was 82 mph across the infield with whip and looseness in the arm. At the plate, hands ready early to hit, is upright in stance and does a good job of getting the barrel out front and to the ball. Was 92 mph off the tee in his exit velo. Intriguing 21’ with twitch actions who has a chance to stick up the middle

Jake Merante C / SS / Robert f hall, ON / 2020

Report: Merante, 5-foot-9, 180-pounds, catcher in the 2020 class. 7.08 60-yard dash runner. Compact, strong swing. Line-drive swing with comfort going both ways. Hard sweet-spot contact up to 84 mph off the tee. Was 2.09-2.18 behind the plate, 73 mph across. Gets his feet set quickly, sound mechanically with a catcher’s frame.

Colby Guy 1B / 3B / Eastview Secondary School, ON / 2021

Report: 6-foot-2, 190-pound corner-infielder, Guy is a strong and physical 2021 grad. It’s a left-handed swing with rhythm and aggression. It’s compact with good extension, and there is evident pop to the pull-side. Lots of upside offensively. Can play third-base, arm-works up to 74 mph. Bat will be his carrying tool. A guy to keep tabs on going forward.

Carson Barnett C / 1B / Newmarket , ON / 2022

Report: 6-foot-2, 180-pound catcher with a chance to separate himself behind the plate in the 2022 class. Currently, the tools are raw, but he passes the eye test instantly as a tall, lanky left-handed hitting catcher. At the plate he has a slight leg lift, the swing is long in the back, and tends to get caught on his back side, but there’s some barrel feel in his bat. Defensively he can be rigid at times from a receiving standpoint, but he has mobility given his size. The arm also plays, keeping it short and tight with some ride on his throws.

Cooper Tomkinson 3B / SS / St.Peters Catholic, ON / 2021

Report: At 6-foot-1, 185-pounds, Tomkinson was easily the most physically developed player at Titans Scout Day. His swing is compact from the left side, his timing is good, and he can pull the ball with authority. Defensively his hands work, but he projects as a corner infielder, more so as a first baseman. As a 2021, he has another year to fine tune his skills, but he should be a hot pick up for junior colleges going forward.

Bryce Elias OF / RHP / Lawrence Park Collegiate , ON / 2022

Report: Elias had himself a strong scout day and put up numbers in all categories. Athletic and twitchy actions with a quick arm, Elias ran a 6.89 sixty and was 85 mph from the outfield with an exit velo of 87 mph to match. The swing is line drive oriented with lots of barrels during his BP in scout day with pull side focus. The arm is quick with life out the hand, doesn’t necessarily translate to the mound as the fastball velocity was low 80’s, but Elias can really spin his curveball with late, 11/5 shape and bite at 69-71 mph. Moves well overall and can see him really taking the next step in his development this off-season

Ben Sitarenios OF / RHP / Bill Crothers Secondary School, ON / 2020

Report: Uncommitted 2020 who has made strides over the last year. Moves well in the outfield and can go get as he’s a 6.90 runner and can even see him shave a tick or two off that. Arm works and lower half gets in sync, profiles as a centre-fielder. Offensively, can get off-balance at times and cut his finish off, but when he simplifies himself, is able to make consistent contact, speaking to his athleticism and hand eye coordination. High upside senior who will continue to get better and has lots of room to continue to grow in all areas of his game.
